WORKSHOP LARISSA

Representatives policy-making institutions, as well as professional education and training institutions and the general public participated in the workshop. The debate related to the opportunities of adoption of the tools that have been developed in the project and the potential weaknesses with regards to the integration and exploitation of these tools.

CONFERENCE IOANNINA

During the workshop, the representative of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Mr. Anastasios Vasiliadis, met with representatives from policy institutions and with representatives from institutions and organisations of vocational education and training. The purpose of the event was the presentation of the project Discovering Competencies – Tools for your Future, which is based on the transfer of innovation, as well as the significant results that resulted from it. The main objective was the dissemination of the project and the exchange of ideas and opinions with the participants so as to maximise the potentials of exploitation and adoption of the results of the project.

The project partners were discussing project success, project results and the further exploitation of results, project outcomes, aspects of the project evaluation and the final report.

There was carried out a mock assessment training session with Greek VET multipliers. Multipliers were guided through competence assessment in which they overtook the roles of participants and observers.

CONFERENCE FANKFURT/MAIN

In the context of the German dissemination activities, the GIB Innovation Research and Consultancy is carried out a conference in the International Family Centre Frankfurt/Main. Subjects were chances and benefits of competence assessment for disadvantaged young adults as well as the introduction of respective approaches for the target group. Besides presentations by the GIB, there were given guest lectures by the Hessische Bildungswerk Frankfurt and the Zentrum für Weiterbildung Frankfurt.

WORKSHOP ATHENS

The Workshop was organized by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and the Aegean University, while representatives of all partner organizations were present. During the Workshop, the partners introduced the project toolbox and the training plan. In addition, the dissemination plan was evaluated and the partners set out and planned the meetings to follow. Representatives of National Accreditation Centre for Vocational Training Structures and of the Manpower Employment Organization were present at the workshop actively participating and indicating an interest in adopting the project toolbox.

During the workshop Dr. A. Vasilaidis, representative of IED, met with representatives of policy-making institutions and representatives of professional education and training institutions. Initially, participants of the workshops were informed about the activities and aims of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development and about the European and national projects that it has materialised in the past. A presentation of the project Discovering Competencies – Tools for your Future, which is based on the transfer of innovation, then took place. Specifically, the idea, objectives and activities of the project were all presented and described. In the third part of the workshops discussion turned to Competence and the process of evaluation, as well as VET systems in Greece. Finally, active dialogue followed with all participants concerning all of the above issues presented.

CONFERENCE RHODES

The event was organised by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development in collaboration with the Aegean University, while representatives from the consortium of partners were also present at the event and participated. During the event the text for the policy paper was finalised with regards to the evaluation of soft skills throughout the European Union and Greece and the organisation of workshops for the education and training of adult trainers was also decided upon. Representatives from EKEPIS and OAED (Hellenic Manpower Organisation) were present at the meetings and they expressed an interest in the project and the desire to adopt the programme tools and developments.

The tools that were developed throughout the project pertain to the methods of evaluation of individual skills and competences and the respective tools.

PROJECT MEETING Rhodes

The project partners finalized and approved the major product Policy Paper and discussed further development of the remaining project outcome. There was also further development regarding the strategy to transfer approaches of competence assessment to Greece.
